There is a double standard in society about promiscuity, however it is not predicated by society in general. Quite ironically, It is put forth by the very participants. Guys who sleep around a lot do not want to be in a relationship, let alone a marriage, with a woman who has slept around also. It is a double standard and everyone knows it.
If you do not like it, then you have two options. One, do not date a promiscuous guy. The other is to not be promiscuous. It is your choice.
The cold hard truth is that no one likes a promiscuous woman for anything more than an one night stand. Men who are not promiscuous do not want to date a woman who has been with a lot of guys. Celibate men certainly do not want to be in a relationship with a woman like that.
