Men remember not only the first impression that you make on them, but also the last impression that you made on them. Men are highly susceptible to the effect of recency and primacy. While you may not get a second chance to make a first impression; with men you have more than just a second chance of making a lasting impression. The most recent impression that you make on a man is the way that he will remember you until you make another impression on him.
This is both a blessing and a curse. Along with being able to make up for a bad first impression you get the fact that your last interaction will be what defines you in his mind. It is not that men forget everything between the first and the last time that they meet you, it is that the first and last are benchmarks.
