A friend of mine sent me the above link and I plan on posting this as a response.
The short answer is nice guys finish last and what you are describing are the thoughts of a nice guy.
The longer answer is that women send signals, intentional or not, that they do not want a sensitive man. Therefore men do not express such desires outside of a safe environment such as around married friends or other likeminded males. What we hear is that saying stuff like that makes us look like less than a man. I have seen even the most prudish women going crazy for some lothario while ignoring the men around them that seem to be straight out of the latest romantic comedy.
Women under 30, my primary target audience and the bulk of my readership, are extremely confusing to men. That is why I started this blog to help women out. It was born out of frustration, by many men that I have talked to, with the singles scene. I get a lot of readers and yet few comments. I am at a loss with women myself. The only women who seem to offer any insight into the female mind are comediennes and married woman. And as best as I can tell, married women think a lot differently from single women.
If I cannot explain women to men, then the least I can do is explain men to women in hopes that they listen. I cannot just sit here and do nothing. Maybe it is not us... then again maybe it is.
