There is nothing innate in men that makes them fearful of commitment. Most men are not fearful of commitment. It is simply a woman deciding unilaterally the direction that the relationship is going and the man disagreeing. The only recourse left to men when women unilaterally decide the status of the relationship is to agree or break up.
