I think that this is a valid argument. It is not always about the quantity of time. The quality of the time is sometimes key. Marriage is a lifetime commitment. No man is going to marry a woman that he does not feel that he knows. It is more than just concrete facts, it is the concepts that go with them. If you cannot open up emotionally to him, then maybe he is not the right one.
