Men generally do not put much stock in who they set you up with. The only sure sign that your male friend is not into you is if he is in another relationship and/or he sets you up with someone not so special.
Men set women up with great dates if they really like the woman as a friend or as a potential date. It is only when the man is not so special that the signal is clear that he has no interest in you.
